This type of insulation consist either of EPS insulation cut according to a predetermined roof pitch and design, in most case on top of concrete, but underneath a cover made from bitumen paper or plastic tarpulin. On the other hand there is a sandwich of EPS and mineral wool to be used on top of concrete but underneath a raised roof with weather covering of wood and corrugated steel or stone/slate.
